Privacy Policy

We collect personal information you give us directly, including:

• Name, email address and phone number
• Shipping and (where different) billing address
• Order history and the items you’ve purchased
• Your email address if you sign up to our newsletter or a back-in-stock notice
• Anything you tell us directly via the contact or trade & breeder inquiry forms

We also collect general website usage information automatically via Google Analytics — see “Analytics and cookies” below.

We never ask for or store your full payment card details — see “Payment processing” below.

We use your personal information to:

• Process and fulfil your orders, including arranging live-animal shipping
• Contact you about your order — confirmation, dispatch, and any issues
• Respond to contact form and trade & breeder inquiry submissions
• Send you stock/update emails, only if you’ve signed up to receive them
• Understand how the site is used, so we can improve it
• Meet our legal and accounting obligations

Order, contact, and subscriber data is stored in our database, hosted by Supabase. We rely on Supabase’s infrastructure security and access controls, and restrict who at Aqua Nest can access this data.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share it only with the service providers that make the site and our order process work:

• Stripe — processes payment at checkout. Stripe receives your payment details directly; we never see or store your full card number.
• Resend — sends transactional emails (order confirmations, dispatch notices, replies to your inquiries).
• Supabase — hosts our database, as above.
• Google Analytics — provides aggregate website usage statistics.

Some of these providers may process data on servers located outside Australia. Where that’s the case, we rely on those providers’ own security and compliance commitments as part of choosing them.

We may also disclose information where required by law.

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you
• Correct any information that’s inaccurate or out of date
• Remove you from our newsletter or back-in-stock notifications at any time
• Delete your personal information, subject to our legal record-keeping obligations
