About Frontosa
Cyphotilapia frontosa is one of the most iconic Lake Tanganyika cichlids, known for its bold vertical striping and the pronounced nuchal hump adult males develop. Naturally found in deeper water, it's an unusually peaceful, social species for its eventual large size and does best kept in a group. Slow-growing — sold as juveniles here, but plan ahead for the large adult tank this species will eventually need.
