About Multis

Neolamprologus multifasciatus is the smallest cichlid species known, spending its entire life in and around empty snail shells on a sandy substrate. Kept as a colony with plenty of shells to go around, they display constant, fascinating shell-defending behaviour without real aggression toward tankmates. Best in a dedicated sand-bottomed setup rather than mixed into a rockwork community tank.
